Salad tairu is a refreshing yogurt salad that is mildly spicy and sour;with chunks of crunchy cucumber, onion, chillies and tomato. Serve in a small bowl or with white rice and sambar.

1 large cucumber;sliced thin     )
4 fresh green chillies;sliced thin )
2 fresh red chillies;sliced thin    ) mix in a large bowl
2 large onions;cubed small       )
2 large tomatoes;cubed small   )
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 stalk curry leaves;stripped(20 leaves)
1 large onion ;sliced
1 tablespoon oil
5 tablespoon yogurt(organic)
1 teaspoon salt


Method of preparation:

Heat oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and sliced onion. Saute till onion is golden brown. Add yogurt. Stir well. Next, add salt. Stir well and bring to a boil. Turn off flame. Let the contents of the wok cool down. Pour the contents of the wok into the large bowl containing onion, cucumber, tomatoes and chillies. Mix well. Serve in small bowls or with white rice and sambar.
